Homemade fuel pressure gauge LH system

This is actually a test of posting images with messages using the Gallery here at the Brickboard, but some may find it informative.

Cut the male side/female side from the fuel rail of an LH system car. Purchase the additional needed parts at the local hardware or auto supply store.

Be aware that you are working with gasoline and high pressure. Check all of the fittings and replace the hose if over time it shows signs of breaking down. Test your setup with compressed air before attaching the device to your car. Use only fuel grade hose. DO NOT use this system to run a fuel gauge full time on your car. This is a test device only. Work outdoors, not in a closed space. Have a large fire extinguisher at the ready. Use rags around the fittings both when attaching the gauge and when removing it as you will get gasoline leakage. Run the car out of gas (to eliminate pressure in the system)by disconnecting the pumps before opening the fittings on the fuel rail to attach or detach the test device. Don't use on a hot engine. Remove children and pets from the area. Wear safety glasses. If you are unsure of your ability to conduct the fabrication of this device or the use of it in a safe manner don't even start to put it together. Consult a trained and certified professional mechanic in your area to approve your fabrication and use of this device. Do not consume alcoholic beverages while fabricating or using this device. Do not use recreational, prescription, or over the counter drugs while fabricatiing or using this device.

In case you haven't picked up on it yet this could be a very dangerous item even in the hands of a trained professional. Keep the device locked and away from children. Viewing the image, fabricating the device or using the device is done so at your own risk. Even the best plan can go bad- face it Shit Happens. I don't want to see anyone's story on the evening news. Have a safe day.
