Power Steering Pump Removal 200 1982

Hey. Two days ago some upstanding citizen stole the registration and in spection stickers out of my husband's brick. No prob--get replacements? WRONG! My husband takes the car back to where he had it inspected and they were too busy, so he takes it up the road and it FAILS. Because the power steering isn't hooked up. He goes back to the first shop (coincidently he had to have 100 dollars worth of muffler repair...) and asks why it was passed and the guy tells him "Maybe he missed it." So, it was a scam, when I brought mine in, it needed 70 dollars worth of muffler repair and my power steering was leaking like a sieve. Any way, he was told the pump had to be pulled and the lines capped. How do I do this? Detailed instructions and a list of stuff I'll need would be great.
This sucks so much and thanks.
