lots of dash questions (lighting, gauges) 200 1983

well i've fixed all the pressing problems with my 83 245 volvo, and barring any new ones (knock on wood) i'd like to do some stuff to make it look cooler. i've been thinking about modifying all the dash lighting, i know i have a bulb or two out anyway. a few questions...

-assuming i have the standard volt bulbs installed, what brighter bulbs are compatable?

-i was also considering painting the bulbs to glow blueish to match my exterior/stereo, and was wondering other peoples experiences doing the same.

-those white gauge faces look awesome, i figured while i'm in there i might as well put those in too. who would you guys reccomend ordering those from? difficult installation?

-and lastly, how difficult is dash removal? i've never fiddled with anything in the dash, and haven't checked out the bentley on the subject yet. how big a project would light replacement be? i'm lookin for a good idea of what i'm getting myself into... thanks for your time everyone.
