seat heater wiring 700 1989

As my 740 is temporarily garage bound - due to my enthusiastic repair attempts I decided to pull the seats to fix the heaters. On the drivers side i found two unconnected black wires that work their way back to a connector with two black wires and a white wire there is a spade lug on one black wire and a red shrink wrap thingy with numbers ( unreadable ) on the other I don't have a wiring diagram for the 89 and the 88 doesn't help, too many black wires !! there is no relay or anything under the seat so is something missing ??
