No power under load, bad FPR? 700 1987

I'm double-checking the accuracy of that statement.

Since my post, my brother's changed the FPR with a new Volvo unit and found no change.

He's also reported oil bubbling near one of the exhaust manifold gaskets. I've asked him to clarify whether the head's leaking oil near the exhaust manifold, or if the gaskets are leaking oil.

This car has had problems with the PVC system, and I've thought about having him remove the breather box and replace it or just leave it off and plug the vacuum hoses.

I've asked him to check the wiring harness- the on/off switch effect of this failure does make me think this could be electrical.

Thanks for the input-
-Dylan
