Cheap repair for plastic side pockets 200 1990

In case anyone is interested, I made a cheap repair to the classic cracks in the plastic side pockets in the front doors of my 240. The vertical cracks are in the portion that sticks out, and is most common and most vulnerable. I went to the local hobby shop and purchased sheet styrene plastic, 1.5mm thick. I cut rect. sheets about 3.5 x 6 inches and glued them to the interior face of the pockets, over the cracks, with good quality epoxy glue. You have to hold them in place with your hands for about 5 minutes or so while the glue sets. So far the patches are holding very strong, and look fine from the outside. This was much cheaper than ordering new parts or the add on covers.
