turn signal switch on a 240 200 1986

Hey guys need some help. I have a 1986 240DL wagon. Recently when I go to turn on the high beams I encouter a problem. The switch has seemed to have gotten old. I have to pull it back really far and even then sometimes the high beams do no stay on. I am thinking the switch is just wearing out. I took the dash off and it looked pretty simple to replace. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks.
