The ' 95 filter adapter/oil cooler in my son's T may be a little different from what you have. Nevertheless I don't know where, I assume the ball check valve, goes or even if it belongs in the car. There is nothing in the 240 or 940 Haynes that discussed it. The only check valves that I am aware of is in the oil pump and I think that is bullet shaped.

Get the diameter of the ball and start a new post. You can also try posting in the 240 forum.
