As long as I'm here... 200

After removing the trim on my windshield to try and pinpoint the leak, I realized water is actually comming in around the trunk-pull pass-through in the fire wall- live and learn. The good news is I have IDed the cause of excessive fuse corrosion, so hopefully things will all be back on track soon. I pulled the carpet up and used the heater to facilitate drying- but I'm wondering

As long as I have the carpet pulled up and the drivers' side pannels removed, is there anything I should check/replace/do. I figure a little extra sound-proofing wouldn't hurt- can yall recomend brands, techniques etc?

Also- as far as putting the trim back on the windshield, most of the clips are intact, but the ones across the top stuck to the trim, rather than leaving 1/2 on the car. Is there any reason not to just silicone the entire thing back on? In my archive search, someone mentioned 3M products- any other recomendations?

Thanks for the help.
