Bad transmission mount? 200

Living in so. california I noticed that when driving on the grooved concrete freeways that my shifter knob bounces close to an inch up and down and I can hear and feel a knocking from underneath the parking brake. (I can feel the knock if I put my hand on the parking brake)

If I hold my hand on the shifter and press down to keep it steady I can keep it from knocking.

After noticing this problem I quickly replaced both engine and transmission (M47 5spd) mounts. (engine mounts from NAPA, trany mount from IPD).

This didn't seem to make any difference. Could I have received bum parts? How would i know if the tranny mount is too squishy?

Any suggestions? I will try and replace the center driveline mount and bearing soon.

Thanks in advance
