I just fixed a bunch of problems in one blow. Over the last couple of years my car started getting bad mileage and was running rich. Worse though was the hard starting. I had to crank for about 10 seconds, let off, then crank again for the car to start. Last week she started sputtering at idle and while running and would die if I gave it throttle and let off fast. I finally pulled the vaccum line to the fuel regulator to find gas coming out of it thus dumping straight fuel into the intake. It now starts immediatly and idles smooth. This may be something to look at if your car is having trouble. Only now it seems slower than before. I never even considered it until last week and have had problems for years. I am checking my mileage now. Next I had a big leak from my tranny area. Upon inspection we discovered the clamp that holds the trans. cooler lines to the bell housing was loose and let the metal wear through the line from vibration. Next time you change your oil wiggle the lines. If they move, put some rubber or something in there to hold them tight. It could save you some time later. Hope this helps someone. I almost had my tranny out thinking it was a bad front main. Later, Paul
