Yep I agree, sounds like a bad AMM :( Check to see if the insulation in the top of the air box is falling apart. When it does, it can get sucked into the AMM and cause problems. IF this is the case, remove the foam that is left attached to the air box cover and carefully blow it out of the AMM. I've seen this done on a '90 744T and it worked. Saved the guy a ton of money. Needless to say, I immediately removed the foam from my 745's airbox :)
