86 240 Rear caliper/Brake failure idiot lite 200 1986

Hi All
I just had my "shade tree" mechanic replace my frozen left rear caliper with a
rebuilt unit from Carquest($40) and new pads and rotor, only on that one wheel.
When I picked up the car he told me that the install had gone fine but the rebuilt unit "looked a little different" than the old. Despite his repeated bleeding and rebleeding he could not get the "Brake Failure" idiot lite to stay off. I then took the car to a buddy of mine who works at the local volvo dealer
and he did a pressure bleed on thier system. Lite still on, he belives there is
a wire crossed somewhere...but I can make the lite goes off for a second or two by depressing the pedal firmly(almost to floor)and releasing quickly. Could A)the slight difference between the OEM and the rebuilt be resulting in an unbalanced pressure signal to the idiot lite or B)the fact that I changed only the the one tire be causing a an unbalanced signal? Oh and C) the car seems to stop fine, should I be worried?!? Is there a reset for the lite?
Thx
Mat
