Fuel pump noise? ...(Checked FAQ) 700 1989

There's loud sound coming from underneath the passenger's seat (RHD car) that occurs a few seconds after I've started the car when cold. It only lasts for a few seconds and at the same time the engine run roughly. Otherwise it runs great and idles smoothly, with no fuel pump sounds normally. What could be causing this?
