Tie rod 140-160 1974

I was told by the seller of my new - yet to be picked up - 1974 144 that the right side tie rod is bad. Not having received any repair manuals yet, can somebody please explain how to replace the tie rod and what special tools might be needed. It would be greatly appreciated!
