Walker muffler inlet side? 200 1988

I mail ordered a Starla exhaust kit and received a Walker with Starla stickers. The rear muffler is a Walker 5206644. The inlet and outlet are not marked. How do I determine which is which? Looking inside each tube there is a difference. One tube is perforated and pinched off at the end, so all the exhaust must pass through the perforations. The other tube is perforated, but open at the end, with a flat plate visible a few inches beyond the end of the tube. Any help in deciding which is the inlet?
