It still won't start 120-130

I'm still having trouble with starting the '67 122. It backfires, and gas accumulates in the throat of each carburetor. Any help? I'll fool around with it until I go the rest of the way nuts, start it or (I hope not) foul it up.

Gas has been replaced, carburetor bowls cleaned and fuel filters installed. Plugs are new, as are wires, and points have been cleaned and gapped.

I appreciate the help so far and would appreciate any additional insight

Jim Hampton
