cold start problem 200 1992

think your fuel system is good. i bought my 84 from an auction....for this same reason, guy that owned it couldnt get it fixed!!!!! after close to a grand in parts and service(i got all the reciepts, they were in the glove box)cold start problem was because of the vacume pod on the black box, inside front right fender was no good......simple way to check this is to get another piece of vacume hose, pull off the hose that goes to dist., attach new hose and then put in you mouth and suck on it......now if it creates a vacume, it will get stuck to your tounge, if its broke...you will get no vacume. only bad thing with the way volvo does this.....is that YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE DAMN BOX!!!!. and its gota have the same number on it as yours or it will not work. i couldnt find the same number...so i got one with a good vacume pod....took em both apart, unsoldered them both and replaced my bad with the good pod. still workin after 4 years!!!
