Battery-suckin' radio

CR 814 unswitched lead (I think it's #11 on the connector)sucks the battery flat in my vehicle if it sits for more than a day or two. Have temporarily rerouted it to a switched--accccessory, on while engine running--lead, but of course have to punch in the code now every time I start the engine. It's pretty definitely narrowed down to this lead as the culprit; I connected up a meter between the battery and ground, and pulled one fuse at a time till the drain stopped, then disconnected this lead and replaced the fuse with no drain. Anybody got suggestions on what / where the problem is and the nature of cure?
TIA
