What Starters could I use 200 1983

I have a 1983 244GL auto 4 cyl gas w/ AW-70 Tranny w/ 74k miles

When I go to the junkyard, what other models and years could I take another starter from that will be interchangeable with mine? My starter is screeching every time I try to start. I was told by someone at the junk yard I could only use starters out of 240's 1979 - 1984, but I found a few 1985-1988 240's w/ good looking starter/solinoids w/ lower mileage and they look simular.
