760 Headlight woes 700 1990

The headlights on my 1990 760 have been acting up lately. It used to be that every once and a while when I turned my brights off all of my headlights would go dark, I would have to turn off the road and spend some time turning the lights on and off before my low beams would work again. It just recently began to be that my headlights won't even turn on some of the time, after the car has been running. I have already changed the connector to a purple wire going to my relays, Relay E, I believe, it appeared to be burned and blacking brown. I thought that might have fixed the problem but no luck. Is my solution to buy a new relay and which one? I don't have a "K" relay in my car and there is no wiring for one.

Ane help is greatly appreciated.
