Oliver-

as long as you have the seats pulled out, search the board for tips on checking & rehabbing the springs and pad underneath. I haven't done this myself, but I think the short of it is to unhook the springs, cut a carpet sample or something to brace the (probably) degrading foam pad, and put the springs back on over the reinforcement.

Like I said, I haven't done this, but you can find very good and detailed instructions on this page.
