Well I would like to spice up some of the messages on the bickboard and talk about those PV colors. Most of us think about the white color cars and the black ones too. How about the mint green ones and the medium shade of green 1956 and 57 PV444. I can not remember the code it was either 47 or 37 but whatever it was some striking color. It seems that most PV were White or Black or Red. I had a friend that said at one time are not all 544s sold White? At least it seemed that many were. Maybe volvo liked the idea of white as it was a safe color especally at night when you could see it from great distances. I would like to talk about the unusual colors those that are much less common or even special order. Have you seen a special order color on a PV 544.
How about the color Deer brown in 1961 or 62. Also another popular color was a yellow beige cream which end service in Volvo cars in 1965 which you mostly see on 122. What do you think about the striking dark Grey of the 1963-65 which at times you also see on 1800.
It is funny going to the Volvo museum and seeing the last PV544 and even the P210 and they are black. Personally not my favorite color but it does look good on the PV with lots of chrome. I would like to here from you Volvo fans. Lets open this up to your experiences of colors and what you like or ? Enjoy.
