How much did you enjoy driving the turbo? I think that should be a big factor in your decision. If you really liked it, I would say go for it, especially if the car has decent service records that show regular oil changes and maintenance.

If the added power is not that big a deal for you, I think it might not be a bad idea to stick with the car you have, spend the $2k or whatever fixing all those things on your list... freshen it up inside and out. Then use the money you saved on a nice vacation or something else fun.
