CIS - help! 200 1981

I have sort of posted on this subject before, but I am hoping for a collective opinion from the board. The green machine does not have the CIS computer, throttle body micro switch or idle air controller. It appears as though the car was probably delivered this way from the factory. Should this equipment be added, or should I just put the car back together as it was? I'm uncertain as to what benefits may be gained by adding the CIS, or if it might be required for emissions, etc. The car seemed to run fine without the CIS before. All opinions are welcomed.

Thanks,
Jeff
