Couple of questions Re 91 740 non turbo sedan.

(1) Is there a "cut out" switch on the A/C that briefly cuts the system off during hard acceleration such as merging onto the interstate? I hope so as am tired of the wife complaining about it. Otherwise it works fine.

(2) I have to replace the heat control valve plus the hoses. Am I time and aggervation ahead just removing the intake manifold? Also need to do the RPM sensor while I'm back there which ,according to the FAQ's, can be a real pain. If I remove the IM, can a lot of the "stuff" be left on it and it just shifted out of the way? Many thanks
