Surging with A/C on & wiring diagram 700 1989

First of all I have to say what a great resource this board is, I appreciate all the help that I have been given and hope to give all I can back, although this is my first Volvo.

I have as I can best describe it a surging problem or perhaps a loss of power when driving when I have the a/c on 745 NA M47. I suspect a vacuum leak of some sort but have been unable to find, I will probably replace all the hoses when I get my 900 sold and the garage free. Can I spray intake cleaner around under the hood with the engine running to find leaks or will this be a bad idea ??

I have replaced the flame trap, new AMM ( old one was wrong off a VW of allthings ) hose to throttle body from AMM,new plugs wires rotor cap, new battery

I have cleaned the throttle body and the Iac and associated oil encrusted hoses but that problem is still there

I do have an alternator that isn't putting out full amps and wonder if this could be it too although with a fully charged ( with 55 amp charger ) battery I still have this symptom

My second question is where to get a factory or really good aftermarket wiring diagram, my local Volvo/Jaguar dealer is absolutely no help saying the car is too old for them to even suggest where I can get one. I live In Edmonton so getting it in Canada would be a bonus but I am open to all sorts of suggestions

Thanks and sorry for the length
