Re: Thinking of Buying a 1993 940 non-turbo wagon-Need advice! 900 1993

Hello, I'm thinking of buying a used 1993 940 non-turbo wagon with a 130,000 miles on it. The original owner, who took impeccable care of the car. It lookds brand new. He changed the oil every 2,500 miles, changed the transmission fluid every 20K, had the car serviced regularly and according to the book at a local Volvo Dealer, which has a good service department and is a Dealer of Excellent. My questions are:

1) He wants $5,900 for it. This car is based in Westport, CT. Does that seem a fair price?
2) What do you have to look out for on '93 940 non-turbo wagons?
3) Are there any problems areas in general with the 940 wagons that you have to check for to avoid a problem.
4) How is the general reliability of the 940?

Let me thank you all in advance who respond. I appreciate your help.

Hugh
