Thanks for the reply, it makes sense. Goes to show how lazy I am...I have BOTH of those books (great by the way) but just thought about the compression test here at work. Will check them out when I get home. Doh, I knew about the CIS vs. CI nomenclature, thanks for catching me.

Can't wait to learn more about the older engines, I've grown tired of learning about the B230F/T series. I know they are similiar, more interested in how K-Jet/constant injection systems work.
