Windshield leaks..what do I need to know before getting it replaced? 200 1988

I have been hunting down water leaks on the drivers side of the car for a while now. Two holes in the firewall got silicone. Door wiring grommet got re-seated. Silicone treatment to the cruise control vacuum line...

Now I'm pretty sure the only leak left is the windshield. The windshield is cracked anyway, so I [sort of] need one as it is. I just want to make sure that when I take it to the corner auto-glass joint that the job gets done correctly. So, if anyone has experience/suggestions (e.g. "Make SURE you get the OE windshield gasket", etc..) I'd like to hear them.

Thanks

-Steve
