Hi everyone!
I am new to the area of R-134a recharging on my Volvo (not new to Volvos). This is my first Volvo with R-134a. Lately I notice that (usually) on Highway driving the AC does not cool as it should. Esp. in the Auto setting/temp dial at coldest setting. I suspecetd I am low on the refrigerant.... So I went and got a recharging can/kit. Am I correct in assuming that the connector near the dryer(behind the right strut tower) is the low pressure side connector to which I am supposed to connect the hose from the can for re-charging? If not where is the lowside connector? Is it recommended to evacuate the system completely before filling in with new refrigerant. How hard is it? I assume I might be able to get an evacuator kit. Also is it done through the same opening which is used for filling in the refrigerant?
Thanks!
Kenny
