Inner Tie Rod Play 200

Hello,

While checking my recently aquired 1981 240, I was checking to see how is the suspension, just basically lifted it and check how are the bushings and stuff i noticed there was some play on the inner tie rod, so, my question is

Should there be any play on the inner tie rods?
if so how much?
If no, is this the indication that the inner tie rods are to be replaced?

Also what should i do to check the outer tie rods?

Thanks for the help
