78 242 handling questions - rallye lift mods... 200 1978

1978 242 - 3" lift all around - (Diesel front springs, 245 rear springs plus lift blocks at rear)

Front swaybar is off of a 245, a bit larger than the stock 78 - 242

New KYB front strut cartridges last summer.

Just finished putting the front end together - new ball joints, tie rod ends, inner tie rod, lower control arm bushings, Inner tie rod boots.
Looks real spiffy under there now, and feel more solid.

The only thing I am wondering is that when I "swerve" as if doing an avoidance maneuvere, the inside rear corner wants to lift (unweights)- swerve right, right corner comes up.

This is at moderate speed without braking, when braking at the same time the inside rear wheel unweights even faster.

The only thing I have not done is replace the rear shocks (they seem ok) and rear bushings (no clunks or funny noises, but they are old so maybe soft).

Anybody out there with some handling ideas..
I am not looking for a road racer handling, more for backroad rallye type handling. We live out in the country and town is about 6 mile of rough gravel washboard roads away.

I understand that the lift modifications would affect it somewhat, but with new KYB front strut cartridges, all new front bushings, shouldn't this handle reasonably flat.

Our 87 245 with stock suspension, and 292,000 miles, handles much flatter.

Should I be looking at fabricating and instaling tower strut braces?
What about the braces under the front sub-frame?

Ideas appreciated..

Thanks in advance.
