90' and 91' Compressor to Condensor High Pressure Hose Replacement 700 1990

Today I converted my 90' and 91' 740 to R134a and everything went well. The AC works well, but not for long. I added UV dye to the Receiver (along with the ester oil) and took each for a drive. When I got back both had leaks along the high pressure hose from the compressor to the little cylindrical thing which I believe is a "muffler" (?).
1) Is this hose difficult to replace and does the compressor need to be dropped?
2) Where is there a good aftermarket source for these hoses?
3) Can I just release the pressure slowly to avoid losing oil, replace the hose, draw a vacuum, and add the R134a again? Or do I need to add more oil and ???.
Thanks
