poor air conditionning on idle 900

1993 944ti,
my air conditionning system seems to be working pretty good while driving. Air from vents is really cold. Thought when idling or in traffic, the air conditionning isnt that great. I understand that air is passing throught the condensor much more while driving and the compressor is turning at higher RPM but is it normal or is there something I can do to make the air conditionning more efficient when idling? I even tested by revving the engine at 1500rpm at park and doesnt seems to make a big difference. Rad fan is working well too.
Any suggestions or this is normal with all 940s.
Thanks for your reply
JF
