When does your power antenna go up? 200

I am installing a stereo on my 79 244 and right now the power antenna goes up when I turn the key. I was wondering if this was normal for all volvos or something is wrong. On new cars the antenna only goes up when the radio is turned on. So all I need to know is when your antenna goes up. If you are really interested read my post under the caption "I need help instaling a stereo....PLEASE HELP ME"......Thanks....Paul
