right rear door 700 1985

Bricksters....I have recently developed a problem with my passenger side rear door. I have the auto locks controlled by the drivers door. The rear door is closed and won't open the locks still work but the handle on the outside and the door lever on the inside don't appear to be linked to the mechanism anymore
How do I open the door so that I can take a look at the interior linkages if I can't get the door open? Am I screwed? How does this become unlinked?

Please advise

Thanks

Mark 740gle 205k and still rolling fine
