My 1986 240 has begun to stall(engine cold). I last week had replaced the non-functiioning in-tank pump and can hear it and the main pump running. THe main pump is heard while the car is running and for a couple seconds after it dies. I pulled the vaccum hose on the fuel pressure reg. It is dry. Ran the engine with a hose to a gas can to confirm steady supply on the fuel return line. What I don't hear is the fuel pump coming on the brief second prior to cranking. And sometimes when trying to restart I hear no fuelpump/no start. Haven't confirmed loss of spark as I dropped my light when I went to test. Any suggetions for what and how to test woulod be greatly appreciated.
