I 'lost' the fourth gear on automatic transmission 200 1986

An independant shop that specialises in Volvos has done some work on the tailend of my automatic transmission and the day after gettin the car back, I found out that once I pressed the button to go down in third gear, I was not able to go back in fourth gear. The shop is closed during the week end and I was wondering if there was a way to actuate or disable the solenoid in the transmission to regain the use of the fourth gear.

I have removed the cap of the relay and try to actuate the relay manually but to no avail. I do not intend to pull loads or drive in the mountains but I sure miss the tall gear on the highway.

Any suggestion welcome
