Squeaking Koni Shocks 120-130 1966

aster;

If your Konis are out of the vehicle and squeaking, as you work them, then I believe you, and recomend synth-grease on the shaft as close as you can get to the shock body. If however, they are still installed, and you say they are responsible for the squeak, I have trouble believing that...squeaks under suspension excursions are more likely caused by dry ball joints or upper control arm bushes...in that case, I use a penertating teflon spray, which dries totally, leaving a lubing, but not dirt-catching (wet) film.

As far as adjusting Konis for wear...I seem to remember comressing them fully to engange the adjustment, then turning to adjust (clockwise to tighten).

Cheers
