1 answer about the spark plug 200 1989

Hi,

the torque of the volvo plugs is 25 Nm (according to Green Volvo maintenance).
For me TOOOOOOOOOOO much (with that torque you can damage the aluminium treads on the long going, I replace them every 12000 km)
I also put a little graphite on the treads before turning tem in.
It faciliates turning them out after 12000 kms of hard work.

I torque them lets say, at 10 - 12 Nm maximum, just with a hand ratchet,
" on the feeling, if you changed them 15 times you know whats is goed for the sparks "

The cables = bougie cord (=spark wire).
They always have to be one part. If they are broken (2 pieces/sheared off), REPLACE IT!!!!!!!!!!!,
because they are designed to transmit a few 10000 VOlts!
(don' t even think about reparing this, it can' t be that cost)
You have to pull them off on the thick part that goes around the spark,
NEVER pull on the wires

succes
