PAG or Ester oil? 700

1990 740 gle 16 valve. 160k R134a a/c system. had the car 2 years.

My condensor ruptured a few months ago. I'm just now getting around to fixing it. I'm going to flush the entire a/c system and recharge. Do I charge it with PAG or Ester oil. I don't know what was in it before. I know it was upgraded to R134, but I don't know when, or with what oil. I pulled the receiver/drier off and the oil is neon green. I'm assuming this is from dye that was injected into the system by the P/O.

BTW, I pulled the orifice tube and it was clean, except for some pieces of what looked to be torn rubber. there were 6 or 8 of these small pieces of flat rubber. <1mm thick, 4mm wide average. What is that? Should I worry?

Thanks
- Nate
