'85 240 trans into '72 142, Will it work? 140-160 1972

B20's sit upright ... B21/23/230's are at a slant. They're close, but otherwise no, it's not just a simple bolt-on.

In 1975, there were a few B20's that were mated to the M45/46 series, so if you do run across one, then you can make it fit. Otherwise, I suppose you could cut the two bellhousings and have 'em welded into the correct orientation ...
