1976 vs 82 exhaust 200

The fuel pumps are different, no swap, sorry.

Exhaust swap might just work. The 1982 may have an under-axle pipe between the mufflers, whereas the 1976 has an over-axle pipe. You will need to get under and look at them.

The over-axle system may have to be disassembled or cut to remove it.

The under-axle system can be dropped and removed as a cat-back single unit. Remove the three cat bolts (1/2 inch, not 13mm on my 1988!) and the rubber hangars and once the whole thing is on the ground you can drag it out from under, out the back.

Remove the front muffler hangers first. Then put a prop under the cat as you get close to removing the last bolt. If you miss this trick, when the cat and the front muffler are loose, the whole thing pivots on the rear hangers, and sort of lock in there. Minor PITA. BTDT

Good Luck,

Bob

I do know that the cat in 1980 was increased in whatever is in there.
