Tranny problems 200 1979

Hi again. I just got back from my trip putting 2,000 miles on my '79 245dl. The brick did great. Except the transmission. I put a post up last week telling of the OD problem. Haven't got it fixed yet. I thought that I could replace the relay, but was told that it doesn't have one. So I don't even know what do. I have just decided to not use the OD until I have it checked. My NEW problem is that it is slipping out of 4th. everything else about the transmission is fine. No loss of power, clutch seems normal. I did visit a boneyard and replace the gearshift boot. It looked the same and I also got the leather boot as well. I can't imagine that would cause it to slip out. Any suggestions of what the problem could be? Is my tranny slowly dying? Are these two problems related? I do notice it happening more when I am going downhill not pushing the gas. Thanks in advance Franco79 '79 245dl 215,100
