86 245DL No Start. 200 1986

The pressures on, my wife of 23 years says it's a PT Cruiser in 2 weeks if I can't get Inga running or her. Can't afford to get rid of the wife, so I need to get this fixed. May break down and call in the pro's while the wife is out of town, next week but lets ask the BB first.

Not a relay, fuse, or dirty contact. Fuel pumps run when jumpered, but no start. Checking the under the engine wiring harness today. It got moved aroung installing a rebuilt Alt this past weekend. Root cause of the problem may be this at least that is the rabbit I choose to run today.

Here goes, Ignition Module question 1986 245 DL. Does anyone know the correct resistance of the Orange wire in Pin 7 (Unplugged from the ignition module) to chassis. I got zero ohms. This wire is not shown in my Hayes in the Fuel and Exhuast section. It is in the Chilton manual under Chassis Electronic, going to something called the Breaker. Where is this Breaker? How many ohms, to Gnd. Also this is most likely ok, got 1.2 ohms across the coil.

Checked all the wires in the ignition harness to each other and no shorts. This is the only wire going to ground that I am unsure of.

Breaking the OScope out this weekend. Get ready for pulse and voltage level questions.

Guide me away from the Chrysler (it's a damn Neon you know), use the force to turn me away from the Dark Side.
