17 mpg! Otherwise car seems to be driving fine. What Gives? 200 1991

I've only been getting around 16-17 mpg for the past month or so. The only thing that is wrong with the car (that I know of) is that the pulley needs to be tightened (screech when starting and screeches a bit when A/C is first turned on (till engine warms).

FYI I used to get engine code errors but they stopped about 2 months ago when I started using only NAME BRAND gasoline (a small price to pay for a clear dash display!) So I think the ECU is ok (or at least not complaining)

Tire pressure must be ok (checked a month ago), belts, plugs and TB maintained recently.

Oh, yeah.. I tend to drive mainly in the city (6 miles to work and back daily but through city streets) and always with a/c.

HELP!
