Tire size- 960 wagon 900 1992

I used to be pretty active on the board sometime back but due to loss/change of job, etc. I don't have as much time any more. Anyway, I've come back with a question... I've searched around and can't find a definitive answer to this question. Has anyone run 225/50 R16 size tires on the 16" Hydra wheels (940 turbo wheels)? Will they rub? Any fender modification necessary? I'm thinking of replacing the Michelin MXV4 Plus (205/55 R16) with Yokohama AVS db S2 225/50 R16. The Michelins have about as much grip as wheels wrapped in Reynolds Wrap... The car is a '92 965, but is of the vintage where the suspension/body is identical to the 940s.
