tranny oil spill from axle? 200 1989

240 1989 228K kilometers. B230F, 4-door sedan.
automatic.

Some minor oil leakage in my driveway...

Engine is dry, I recently replaced the cam cover gasket and rear cam seal. No leakage there. Going down to the bellhousing area is dry.

When looking under the car the 'support' or crossmember that hold the rear end of the tranny up is all soaked in oil, I guess tranny oil.

I wiped it up, but again is slowly occasionally dripped into my driveway. I've never had to add anything to the tranny fluid, it's still filled nicely... no major spills at all, in fact it only might drip if driven for a long time on a HOT day and parked in the driveway right away.

...but I'd like to fix this. Never been back there. Is there a seal at the point where the axle comes out, and can it easily be replaced? ...never removed the axle or touched the transmission... Any other ideas? Cost?

Thanks in advance.
