Can someone tell me for sure if the bellhousing pattern of the volvo 'd24' as bought from VW, in either turbo (760 model volvo) or non turbo (240 Volvo) matches other Vw bellhousing patterns- I'm wondering about engine swap possibilities, here, using a vr6 or chipped TDI bolted up to the native-to-car volvo tranny.

I'm more a pure Volvo guy than a hybrid/swap guy (not having much use for 5.0 swapped Volvo's), so some who know me will be surpised to see this posted, but there are a couple of us who want to know.
